Congratulations go to Sam Saville who has been awarded the CMST Pupil of The Month Award for March 2019. Sam is in the early stages of his musical journey but what a start he has made!

Sam’s teacher Karen Frost tells us “Sam began playing the cello in September last year and has made astonishing progress in that time!”

Mrs Frost continues to say “Sam is really good at keeping his practice diary up to date and practising regularly at home.”

“It is clear to see that Sam not only has a flair for this instrument but also loves playing it” Karen continued.

Sam supports the school orchestra, is a member of Restormel Junior Strings and performed at the ESTA Strings Concert on March 10th.

Gareth Churcher, Head of Service for CMST, commented “Sam is a prime example of committing to music making straight away. He has only been learning for a relatively short amount of time but has in that time joined ensembles and performed in public. This is a really key part to the whole music making process.”

Well done Sam from the whole CMST team, keep up the great work and we look forward to hearing you perform soon.
